I am a licorice lover. Having lived in Europe over 35 years this one particular candy has not been easy to find in most European countries, except when one crosses the Baltic Sea into Finland. Finland is a licorice lover's paradise!! Chocolate flavoured, lemon flavoured, mint and many others. To add there's even licorice ice-cream But beware once you open a package of Finlands tasty licorice,it will be HARD to stop.

I love cloudberries. The color, texture, shape and taste delight me. I have great friends who feed me cloudberries during my yearly trips to Finland. My very favorite berry.
I also love Panda's smoothie dark chocolate candy, although not very healthful. Okay, truth be told, I also love the yogurt covered raisins I buy at the Prisma shopping center.
Reindeer with lingonberries and mashed potatoes - not bad.
Looking forward to May 2011.
Kiitos hei hei.(Thanks and bye bye in English)

Jeff's comment: Thanks Fran for sharing some of your favorite Finnish foods. How about cloudberries with vanilla ice cream? Have you also tried the traditional kisseli dessert made of potato starch jellow-like soup, or how about täytekakkua (birth day Cake).
