Smoke sauna in Kuusamo,Finland When I was in Kuusamo,Finland at my first smoke sauna.Graying outside woodpanels,flush green woods,peaceful and quiet.

The most remote for me was Kuusamo,Finland.No plumbing, electricity or paved roads around for miles.Surrounded by peace and quiet.

Inside the sauna it is black.Stones are piled into an organized mounded heap.An open fire beneath the stones is burning from morning until evening. Then...!! Voilà...The smoke is let out and you are ready to have your first smoke sauna. Be careful not to touch the walls, because then your hands will get black.
