The 'Fontana' hotel chain offers you special discounts, making these hotels some of the more affordable Finnish hotels.

A money saver!

For the low-income traveller, like the unemployed, the recently divorced or single parent with children, Hotel Lepolampi gives generous discount so that anyone can spend some time away for a break they deserve.
Check the other Fontana Hotels for great deals. There is some paperwork to fill out. Mail in your application and see how much money you can save. It is that simple!

The rooms

There are suites at Lepolampi, but call in advance to book them.

And when you are booking this cheap Finnish hotel for over a week, be sure to get room away from the main road. That way, you are assured of quiet sleep.

Warm season in Finland

Want peace and quiet during the warm season? Go to Lepolampi during the weekdays. Unless you are in that dancin' partyin' mood, there may be weddings or Finnish live music with waltzing and tango during the weekends.

Or...if you want to go when it is more quiet, January is the low-season for Hotel Lepolampi.

Fall and Winter season

A great time to do sauna. There are three large lakeside saunas at Lepolampi. Two of these have electric sauna stoves. Separate men's and women's seat 15 people each. The management can deliver full food service upon request, providing food like smoked salmon or steaks directly to the sauna rom. Yum!

The saunas are open in the winter time Mondays-Thursdays, and saunas just for women or couples can be arranged

Meals

Lepolampi's specialty is their peppered steak and new potatoes.

I tried the sweet-sour chicken with pineapples and parsley on top. The meal included zucchini,carrots and cauliflower.

The potatoes,genrously spiced with fresh garlic are baked in a pan. New potatoes have a slightly creamy texture and are much fresher tasting than normal potatoes. Available May thru August.

At breakfast you get a nice view of the lake from the dining area.

• apples,grapes, bananas and veggies
• ham, and other sandwich cold cuts
• Rye,whole-wheat breads
• English butter crackers,korppu(rusk -A flat hard and crispy unleavened rectangular shaped rye.)
